From Pastor Cody Paige
One of my favorite songs to play during Easter is Don't Cry by Kirk Franklin. The lyrics go like this,
Why do you cry? He has risen. Why are you weeping? He's not dead. Why do you cry? He has risen. Why are you weeping? He's not dead.
The song was written to be an illustration of the Angel at the Tomb talking to Mary. She though Jesus' body was lost forever. She saw the dark tomb and imagined a dark future. Thanks be to God that what she saw wasn't reality! She gazed into the empty tomb, and saw a grave robbery. She soon learned that it was actually a resurrection!
Here is my encouragement to you dear reader: Jesus is alive! Since He lives we have hope. We serve a risen Savior! So as the old song says,
Because He lives I can face tomorrow.
Since He got up, you can get up!
Since He lives, you live!
It may look dark right now, but maybe what you're gazing at is actually a miracle.
