How many packages have you had delivered to your home during the month of December? How many delivery trucks have you seen drive past you either at your home or while you are in your car? None of these trucks or deliveries could register as “The Perfect Gift”. Sometimes the packages are never delivered. Sometimes the packages get delivered to a wrong address. Sometimes the packages are delivered but without anything in the package.
During this time of year please consider The Perfect Gift, the Christmas story, or otherwise known as the birth of Christ, the Messiah!
The Perfect Gift was delivered. The delivery wasn’t Amazon, U.S. Postal service, UPS, FEDEX or any other service. The Perfect Gift was delivered by a miracles.
The Perfect Gift was proclaimed. The delivery wasn’t proclaimed to the world through social media, internet, or any other multimedia advertisement. The Perfect Gift was proclaimed to the world through miracles which included shepherds, wisemen, angels, and a poor couple.
The Perfect Gift was received. The delivery wasn’t received by the royal family of their day nor the religious leaders of the day. The Perfect Gift was received through more miracles which included shepherds, wisemen, angels, a poor couple, and many others.
Do you see the main thread running through the Perfect Gift. Perfect, miracles, and people.
Friends, during this time of year I invite you to focus your eyes on these pieces of thread running through the story of the Perfect Gift.
His perfection, all the perfect timings and His perfect sacrifice, focus on them.
All the miracles that are connected to Him, focus on them.
All the people, who He, Jesus touched, focus on them.
As you focus on these areas, I am praying that you too will join the millions and billions who have focused and believed in the Perfect Gift too! That is the real gift that matters both this time of year and every day of our lives!
Thank You Lord for the Perfect Gift! Please teach us how to believe too!
