From Jeff Freeman

If you haven’t heard the news, Jeff Freeman is going to be a Grandpa! Early in the month of November, my son and his wife will be having their first child. We are really excited about it. Annemarie and I have always looked forward to the day, and now it is in the near future.

With this new adventure right around the corner, I feel so unprepared. Many questions come in to my mind like:

  1. What should Grandpas do or not do?

  2. What is the best way to learn how to be a great Grandpa?

What is, what if, what should…are all the questions that show me that I need a God Refuge. I need to run to God and learn of Him. I need Him to lead me to answers and ideas. I need Him to teach me how to be everything my future grandchild needs me to be.

As I consider all these questions, I am reminded, in Psalm 18:35, that God is willing to be my shield, my support and to be gentle with me as I learn. Praise God that He is willing to be my Refuge in these times.

I don’t know what you are going through right now, but if you need a God Refuge, remember Psalm 18:35. His Refuge is the best!
