From Jeff Freeman
My mother was an RN when she was working. One of her jobs I remember her having a few years ago, was an administrator in a community health center. Once when my family was visiting her we noticed a box on her desk. It was the same box that you see in this picture. This box has an on/off switch. When the switch is in the off position the box just sits there. When the switch is in the on position a voice will be heard coming from the box saying, “excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, can you let me out of here”. While the voice is being heard, the box is vibrating very aggressively. It is meant to be a stress relief, cute conversational piece, and a good laugh.

My mom shared with me recently that now that I am an administrator, she wanted me to have it. So now if/when you come visit me in my office you will see it. I hope you too will come and see it as a cute conversational piece, find it as a stress relief, and get a good laugh.
However it is more than that to me. Whenever I listen to it I am reminded how much I long for Jesus to come and take us out of this earth (the box). Are you ready? I am! Do you sometimes feel like this voice in the box that is desperately wanting to get out of this tiny box? Do you dream about leaving this sin filled world and being in heaven where there will not be sin, suffering, pain, and stress.
Today I want to encourage us all to keep waiting for, dreaming about and living for getting out of this “box” called the earth. Jesus is coming soon. When He comes He will make all things right! Then imagine the reunions, the conversations, and the relief we will experience. So come sweet Jesus and may the phrase, “excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, can You Jesus let me out of here?”.
Nice illustration! “This is not my home I’m only passing through”. I can’t wait to get out of this box!
