Super Mom

Here is my mom.  Sandy Freeman. 

I have known her for 54 years.  My mom is the best mom I have ever had!  That is a little cheeky statement because I don’t have another mom!  I may call others mom (my mother-in-law & my non-mom’s through the years) too but really I only have 1 mom.  

To every mom out there please accept the title as SUPER MOM!  Here are just a few reasons why I believe moms are SUPER MOMS!

Genesis 2:24—“man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”.  Moms you are SUPER because you can bring a child into this world carrying them in your body and/or in your arms for many months/years and still have the ability to let them unite and become one with someone else!

Genesis 3:20—“…because she was the mother of all living”. Moms you are SUPER because even with all the pain, suffering, agony, and struggles that children are guaranteed to bring into your life, you still are willing to have them!  Without you Super Moms, none of us would be here!

Judges 5:7—“..I, Deborah, arose as a mother in Israel”.  Moms another reason you are SUPER is because of your unending drive to raise up your family.  The number of hours you pour out the love, care, ministry to your children makes an eternal difference.  

Proverbs 1:8—“…and forsake not your mother’s teaching”.  Moms you are SUPER because your teaching is sound and full of wisdom!

Isaiah 66:13—“As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort…”.  That is a statement about God almighty.  Moms, you are SUPER because outside of the Holy Spirit, there is not a better comforter than you.  Sorry dads but when there is a skinned knee or a bruised elbow or ego, you moms are where we children go.  

As you consider your moms this weekend, just remember that Moms truly are SUPER MOMS!  Thank God for His gift of our SUPER MOMS!
